A Note from our Founder
“Hello Friends… My Name is Sheila Tomerlin, a native of San Angelo, Texas.
Mighty Waters began as a vision God placed on my heart to provide women battling cancer with a space where they could rest, find joy, and feel truly supported. As someone who has walked alongside loved ones on their cancer journeys, I saw how much they needed moments of peace amidst the challenges. In 2018, this dream became a reality, and Mighty Waters was born.
Since then, Mighty Waters has served 117 powerful women over the course of 17 incredible retreats. These retreats are designed to be a sanctuary—a place where women can leave the weight of their diagnoses behind, connect with others who understand, rediscover hope and strength, and gain tools to better face the challenges on their health journey. My prayer is that every woman who attends feels uplifted, cherished, and empowered to face her journey with renewed courage.
